Here is the sculpture I worked on for a term. It was based on a story I had of a sapling in the middle of a vast forest that grew into a man - the only one of his kind. He sat around waiting (for he could only take a couple steps a month). He eventually mustered up the courage to create a letter and had it delivered by a passing bird - to find another one like him. I used a loft for the main portion of the goggles and booleans to form the headbands. For the eye peice and lens, I basically started from a cylinder and poly modeled the basic shape and used NURBS to make it look more natural.
